These handmade stud earrings depict the pōhutukawa flower.
Pōhutukawa are an important species for Tiritiri Matangi Island. This hardy tree thrives in coastal areas despite the windy and salient conditions of island life. Their distinctive red blooms appear over summer and are quite somthing to see if you are visiting over this time.

These earrings are created by a NZ creative who has their own small business called “Natty”. Natty has been designing, creating and making for over 20 years and is based in Wellington. They are inspired by aotearoa’s unique species and aim to evoke and celebrate the natural environment rather than impact on it. They aim to use natural materials for making and packaging as well as using local suppliers.
We are proud to stock their certified NZ Made products which make a wonderful memento or gift from Tiritiri Matangi Island.
